Description
A tubular rivet that is inserted into a hole and clinched by the withdrawing of a central rod, used where only one side of the work is accessible.
POP RIVET 1/8 X 3/8
- All aluminum
- Large flange rivets are used when there is no access to the blind side of the two materials
- Larger washer distributes pressure over a greater surface area
- Used to join two materials together quickly
- After mandrel breaks off domed head is left exposed
- Commonly used to prevent damage to soft materials and deter pull-through
- Aluminum rivets should never be used with stainless steel: corrosion may occur
